Job Description

We are looking for a talented and ambitious full-stack senior Python software engineer working with Python Web frameworks like Django or Flask with Angular UI/IX with solid experience (at least 6 years), a strong computer science background who has strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, SQL and No-SQL databases, distributed systems, and communication protocols. The candidate should be a quick starter, adapting to new environments and new systems, and possess strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by implementing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.) for products / scalable applications

Contributing to the development and customization of the CMS using the Wagtail framework.

Utilizing your experience in AWS services to help architect and implement features of a well-established cloud-based application.

Designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust task and/or messaging systems (knowledge of Celery framework is a plus)

Integrating and optimizing the PostgreSQL database within the applications.

Utilizing modern Code Quality Tools and participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

As part of the Agile team, collaborating with Product Owner and fellow engineers to gain a deep understanding of business requirements and software implementation.

Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Consuming vendor APIs with knowledge of REST and Microservices best practices.

Ability to quickly ramp up work, interpret sometimes vague requirements, and ask the right questions to solidify requirements. Ability to think outside of the box when providing solutions not only to the task at hand but to a wider feature of the product.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a full stack Web Developer based on Python tech.

Strong knowledge and hands on experience in Python

Proficiency in one of the Web frameworks Django (preferred) or Flask.

Strong front-end development skills preferably in Angular.

Familiarity with the Wagtail or other CMS framework is a plus.

Knowledge of SQL, Data Models, and database best principles.Knowledge of PostgreSQL is preferred but real hands-on experience with other modern RDBMS is acceptable.

Experience with both consuming 3rd party APIs and developing API best-on-best practices like OpenAPI, Swagger

Knowledge of AWS Cloud services and deployment strategies.

Deep hands-on experience with modern SDLC processes; exposure to deployment using Jenkins or similar CI/CD orchestrator; Code and Branch management in GIT.

Good to have knowledge of Unix, NodeJS, Docker, Redis and VS Code

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
