Data Eminence is seeking a motivated Python Developer to join our growing software development team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and backend services.
You will collaborate with frontend developers, software engineers, data teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to build reliable and maintainable software solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience with Python, backend frameworks, APIs, databases, testing, automation, and modern software development practices while working remotely.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining Python-based applications and services
- Writing clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Python code
- Building backend functionality using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Developing and integrating REST APIs and backend services
- Working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Designing and optimizing database queries when required
- Implementing application features based on technical and business requirements
- Debugging and resolving software issues and application errors
- Writing unit tests and supporting automated testing processes
- Integrating third-party APIs and external services
- Working with Git and version control systems
- Reviewing code and following software development best practices
- Supporting application deployment and maintenance activities
- Optimizing application performance, reliability, and scalability

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in Python development or a relevant internship/project
- Strong understanding of Python programming fundamentals
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and common data structures
- Familiarity with Django, Flask, FastAPI, or another Python framework
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and web development concepts
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
- Understanding of Git and version control
- Basic knowledge of software testing and debugging
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with Linux or command-line environments is a plus
- Knowledge of Docker or cloud platforms is beneficial
- Familiarity with NumPy, Pandas, or other Python libraries is a plus
- Understanding of asynchronous programming is beneficial
- Experience with personal, academic, or open-source Python projects is a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to write maintainable code
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
