Python Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend services and data platforms. You will develop systems end-to-end — from data modelling and API design through event streaming and production operations — while collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using FastAPI
• Create & Optimize data models in PostgreSQL
• Build and maintain event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
• Design data pipelines and workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow
• Lead low-level and high-level design sessions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code

Required Skills

• Python — advanced proficiency
• FastAPI — API design, versioning, dependency injection
• PostgreSQL — schema design, query optimization, migrations
• Apache Kafka — producers, consumers, streams; production experience required
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Good to Have

• Neo4j — graph data modelling
• GraphQL — schema design and API design patterns
• Basic familiarity with containerization and CI/CD workflows
• Apache Airflow — DAG design and pipeline orchestration
