Python Backend Engineer

About Position

This role focuses on building and enhancing intelligent backend solutions using Python and Azure cloud services. The position involves developing scalable APIs using Azure Functions and APIM, integrating Azure AI Servicesparticularly Cognitive Searchand contributing to data intelligence initiatives including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). The role encourages innovation, solutioning mindset, and continuous learning in modern AI-driven application architectures.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain Python-based backend services on Azure
• Design and expose APIs using Azure Functions and Azure API Management (APIM)
• Integrate Azure AI Services, especially Cognitive Search, into applications
• Contribute to data intelligence solutions including RAG-based implementations
• Collaborate on solution design with architects and AI teams
• Apply best practices for scalability, security, and performance
• Innovate and experiment with emerging AI and cloud capabilities
• Work effectively in agile, cross‑functional delivery teams

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Strong Python backend development experience
• Hands-on exposure to Azure Services (APIM, Azure Functions)
• Working knowledge of Azure AI Services, especially Cognitive Search
• Basic understanding of data intelligence concepts and RAG architectures
• Strong problem-solving and solutioning mindset
• Learning agility and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
• Experience delivering high-quality backend solutions
