Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PYP Homeroom Teacher to join our dynamic educational team in India. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in teaching, particularly within the Primary Years Programme, and will be committed to fostering a love of learning in young children.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners.
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum and school programs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices and methodologies.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and a love of learning.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Teaching certification or relevant qualifications in Primary Years Programme (PYP) teaching.
  • Strong understanding of child development and educational methodologies, especially the PYP framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and parents.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and assess student learning in a variety of ways.
  • Proficient in using technology to enhance learning and teaching practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
