Description
We are seeking an experienced PWHT Technician to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in post weld heat treatment processes, ensuring the quality and integrity of welded structures.
Responsibilities
- Perform post weld heat treatment (PWHT) operations on various materials according to industry standards.
- Monitor and control temperature and time during the PWHT process to ensure quality and compliance.
- Set up and maintain PWHT equipment, including furnaces and thermocouples.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the effectiveness of the PWHT process.
- Document and report PWHT results, maintaining accurate records for quality assurance purposes.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve any PWHT-related issues.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in PWHT or related field.
- Strong understanding of welding processes and heat treatment principles.
- Familiarity with ASME and other relevant industry standards related to PWHT.
- Experience with temperature monitoring equipment and data logging systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
