Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement / Purchase Manager with a strong background in IT infrastructure procurement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing relationships with OEMs, distributors, and channel partners, along with expertise in global procurement, import/export processes, and supply chain optimization.
This role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and the ability to manage procurement operations efficiently while ensuring cost optimization and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor & OEM Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT OEMs, distributors, and authorized channel partners.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, SLAs, rebates, and credit terms.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with agreements.
- Identify and onboard new domestic and international suppliers.
2. Global Procurement
- Manage end-to-end global procurement activities for IT hardware, networking equipment, servers, storage, and related infrastructure products.
- Source products from international markets to optimize cost and availability.
- Monitor global pricing trends and market conditions.
3. Import & Export Operations
- Handle complete import/export documentation and compliance.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, logistics providers, and customs authorities.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, duties, and taxation norms.
- Manage shipment tracking and timely delivery.
4. Purchase & Inventory Management
- Plan and execute purchase orders based on sales forecasts and project requirements.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels and reduce excess/obsolete stock.
- Coordinate with sales and technical teams for project-based procurement.
- Maintain procurement records, MIS reports, and cost analysis.
5. Cost Control & Negotiation
- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality.
- Negotiate bulk deals and long-term contracts.
- Monitor margins and support the sales team in pricing strategy.
6. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory requirements.
- Manage vendor agreements and contracts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
- MBA (Supply Chain / Operations) preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 510+ years of experience in procurement within an IT Infrastructure / System Integration company.
- Proven experience dealing with:
- Global OEMs (HP, Dell, Cisco, Lenovo, etc.)
- National & international distributors
- Channel partners
- Hands-on experience in global sourcing and international procurement.
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation.
