Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to manage procurement activities for construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, vendor management, cost optimization, and ensuring timely availability of materials in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors/suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with site teams for material planning.
- Prepare and maintain purchase orders, records, and documentation.
- Conduct market research for new suppliers and cost-effective materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Coordinate with accounts for invoice processing and payment follow-ups.
- Analyze procurement data and generate reports for management review.
Key Skills & Requirements:- Strong knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP/software for purchase and inventory management.
- Good analytical and cost-control abilities.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Educational Qualification:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce or related field.
- Relevant certifications in procurement/supply chain will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile:- Experience in real estate or construction industry is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in bulk procurement and site coordination.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
