Job Title: Sourcing / Purchase Manager Private Label
Experience- 5+ years
Ctc- upto 5 Lpa (depends on Interview)
Working Days- 5 days (2nd & 4th sat off)
About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sourcing or Purchase Manager to lead our Private Label procurement and vendor development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers for a wide range of private label products, ensuring competitive pricing, timely delivery, and top-tier quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Identification & Development:
- Source new vendors and manufacturers for private label products (domestic & international).
- Evaluate vendor capabilities, negotiate MOQs, pricing, and lead times.
- Maintain supplier database and ensure alternate sourcing options for key products.
- Procurement & Negotiation:
- Negotiate costs, payment terms, and supply contracts to ensure optimal pricing.
- Ensure procurement aligns with business budgets, target margins, and timelines.
- Product Development Support:
- Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and design teams for product customization, packaging, and quality specifications.
- Coordinate sampling, testing, and approvals for new SKUs.
- Order Management:
- Manage end-to-end purchase process from PO release to delivery and quality check.
- Track shipment schedules, coordinate with logistics for smooth delivery.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all products meet regulatory, packaging, and labeling standards.
- Work closely with QA teams for vendor audits and quality control.
- Costing & Data Management:
- Maintain detailed cost sheets, viability reports, and track cost changes.
- Analyze market trends and raw material fluctuations impacting product pricing.
Requirements:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 510 years of experience in sourcing / procurement preferably in FMCG, Retail, or Private Label brands.
- Strong vendor network across India (and ideally international exposure).
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and costing analysis.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple categories simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with Private Label / Contract Manufacturers.
- Understanding of packaging materials, formulation basics, and cost optimization.
- Knowledge of import processes, HS codes, and international sourcing (bonus).
