Purchasing Manager

• Ensuring operational Buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and group/business guidelines for Synchronous Generator.
• Securing effective execution of sourcing strategies in line with procurement strategy and category organization strategy through tactical/operational processes.
• Making sure all operational Buyers understand strategies and execute processes accordingly.
• Executing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and working capital (payment terms, lead times, order quantities and purchased material inventory), in accordance with group/business procurement guidelines and manufacturing unit objectives.

• 15 to 18 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical procurement.
• Full time engineering in Electrical or Mechanical.
• Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope.
• Responsible for handling team of Buyers for the execution of operational purchasing activities. Builds effective, competent, and high-performing teams.
• Promotes and enables collaboration in the division, across divisions, business areas, and teams to maximize results for ABB.
