Job Description

  • Company Description Chris Merchant is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage sourcing, vendor coordination, procurement activities, and order fulfillment. The role involves ensuring timely procurement of products, maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating competitive pricing, and supporting the company's end-to-end procurement solutions business.
Procurement & Sourcing
  • Identify and source products from approved vendors and suppliers.
  • Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate favorable commercial terms.
  • Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely processing.
  • Follow up with suppliers for order confirmation and delivery schedules.
  • Source new vendors and develop alternate supplier networks.
Vendor Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain an updated vendor database and supplier records.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve supply and quality issues.
Order Management
  • Track purchase orders from placement to delivery.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials as per customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for smooth order execution.
  • Monitor pending orders and expedite critical requirements.
Cost Optimization
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on product pricing and availability.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain procurement records, quotations, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Prepare purchase reports and vendor comparison statements.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Support management with procurement analytics and MIS reports.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Accounts, and Logistics teams.
  • Understand customer requirements and source products accordingly.
  • Support urgent and customized procurement requests from clients.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and procurement software/ERP systems.
