Job Responsibilities:-

Handle purchasing of foundry raw materials, consumables, engineering items, bought-out items and plant spares.

Source materials as per requirements from Production, Maintenance, Stores and other departments.

Send enquiries to vendors, collect quotations and prepare price comparisons.

Negotiate with suppliers for price, quality, delivery and payment terms.

Prepare Purchase Orders and follow up with vendors for timely delivery.

Develop new vendors and alternate sources for regular and critical materials.

Coordinate with Stores and Quality for material receipt, inspection and rejection issues.

Purchase items such as foundry consumables, ferro alloys, chemicals, refractories, grinding/cutting materials, maintenance spares, safety items, packing materials and general engineering items.

Maintain purchase records, vendor details and material price history.

Support cost reduction through vendor negotiation and alternate sourcing.

Handle urgent material requirements to avoid production delays.

Qualification :- Degree/Dip - Mechanical Engineering

Experience :- 5-10 Years
