Job Description

We are seeking a Purchase Executive to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the machine building industry, with a background in vendor development, procurement of electrical and standard bought-out components, and hands-on expertise in SAP/ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle procurement of mechanical, electrical, and standard bought-out components required for machine manufacturing.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Review and analyses purchase requisitions, RFQs, and purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure the best value.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor scorecards.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure specifications and requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery, and inventory through SAP/ERP systems.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply or quality issues.
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives by identifying alternative suppliers and value engineering opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all procurement policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing within the machine building or industrial equipment manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in vendor development and supplier relationship management.
  • Good knowledge of electrical components, mechanical items, and standard bought-out parts (e.g., motors, sensors, panels, fasteners, bearings, etc.).
  • Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems for procurement and inventory management.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and procurement compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (Diploma with relevant experience may be considered).
  • Exposure to cost control and strategic sourcing.
  • Knowledge of lean procurement and inventory management principles.
