Job Title:
Purchase / Procurement Specialist

Department: Purchase

Qualification: B.Pharma/ D.Pharma or B.Sc/ M.Sc

Experience: 5-8 years

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 30,000 - 45,000 per month

Job Responsibility

  • Purchasing & Order Management:

    • Manage the procurement of pharmaceutical products based on forecasts and inventory needs.

    • Place and track orders, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.

    • Approve purchase requisitions from departments.

  • Supplier Relations:

    • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms.

    • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and address supplier issues.

  • Inventory Management:

    • Monitor stock levels and initiate orders to avoid shortages/excess.

    • Work with inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and expiration management.

  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:

    • Ensure purchased products comply with GMP, FDA, and other regulations.

    • Maintain accurate purchase records in line with legal requirements.

  • Market Research & Analysis:

    • Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new developments.

    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate supplier performance.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain purchase order records and submit regular reports on purchasing activities.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work with sales, marketing, and logistics to ensure timely product availability.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

  • Analytical abilities to assess trends and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and regulatory requirements.

  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Excel.


Experience:

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (preferred):

      • Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is highly advantageous.

  • Procurement Experience:

      • At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in procurement, with experience in negotiating contracts, managing vendors, and handling procurement.
