Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchase Manager to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 1-10 years of experience in procurement and will be responsible for managing purchasing processes, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials to meet operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and pricing.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
- Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and implement improvements as necessary.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and cost savings to senior management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 1-10 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
