Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive with 68 years of experience in sourcing and supply chain management, preferably within leather goods or related industries to manage day to day procurement activities. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in handling purchase activities, strong analytical capabilities, the ability to perform under pressure, and a proven track record of managing vendor performance and ensuring timely procurement to support production schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials (leather, fittings, trims, packaging, etc.) in line with production requirements
- Raise and release purchase orders as per material requirement plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely material dispatch and delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance on quality, cost, and delivery timelines; implement corrective actions where required
- Collaborate closely with production, planning, and merchandising teams to ensure material availability and avoid delays
- Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality
- Track purchase orders, material movement (in-house and in transit), and ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate procurement data, reports, and documentation for internal tracking and audits
- Handle urgent requirements and unforeseen supply chain challenges effectively under tight timelines
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and contribute to continuous process improvements

Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- 68 years of relevant experience in procurement/sourcing, preferably in leather goods, accessories, or fashion manufacturing
- Experience working with domestic and international vendors is an added advantage
