Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, vendor selection, and purchasing of materials
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines
- Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing, terms, and conditions
- Monitor market trends and material pricing to make cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Prepare and process purchase orders with accuracy and proper documentation
- Maintain and update procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase reports
- Coordinate with production, stores, and accounts teams to ensure smooth material flow
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery and proactively address delays or quality issues
- Perform cost analysis and comparisons to improve procurement efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing practices, and quality standards (e.g., ISO)
- Use MS Excel and ERP or procurement software for reporting and data management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors for long-term collaboration
- Manage multiple vendors and orders efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Support contract management by understanding basic terms, conditions, and agreements
