Job Description

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement process, from identifying suppliers to negotiating contracts.
  • Analyze market trends to ensure purchases align with company needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and facilitate stock audits.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements.
  • Source alternative suppliers where necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments for integrated purchasing strategies.
  • Monitor shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Assist in budget preparation by forecasting purchasing needs.
  • Resolve any discrepancies in orders or supplier issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Participate in risk management regarding vendor relationships.
  • Provide regular reports on purchasing activities and savings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial processes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order management.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance issues.
  • Willingness to undertake continuous learning and professional development.
  • Familiarity with e-procurement tools is a plus.
