Role Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement process, from identifying suppliers to negotiating contracts.
- Analyze market trends to ensure purchases align with company needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and facilitate stock audits.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements.
- Source alternative suppliers where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with other departments for integrated purchasing strategies.
- Monitor shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Assist in budget preparation by forecasting purchasing needs.
- Resolve any discrepancies in orders or supplier issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in all procurement activities.
- Participate in risk management regarding vendor relationships.
- Provide regular reports on purchasing activities and savings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial processes.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order management.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance issues.

- Familiarity with e-procurement tools is a plus.
