The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement of materials and services necessary for the company's construction and real estate projects. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Planning:
o Develop and implement effective procurement strategies based on project requirements.
o Collaborate with project managers and other store department to forecast demand and determine procurement needs.
2. Vendor Management:
o Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
o Maintain and update a database of approved suppliers.
o Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality service and competitive pricing.
3. Negotiation and Contract Management:
o Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals.
o Prepare and manage purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies.
o Monitor contract performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
4. Inventory Management:
o Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels to meet project demands.
o Coordinate with the warehouse team for efficient storage and distribution of materials.
o Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
5. Quality Assurance:
o Ensure that all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards.
o Conduct regular inspections and audits of supplier facilities and materials.
6. Budget Management:
o Prepare and manage procurement budgets.
o Track and report on procurement spending and cost savings.
o Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
7. Compliance and Documentation:
o Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
o Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
8. Coordination and Communication:
o Collaborate with internal teams, including project management, finance, accounts and legal, to ensure alignment and support project goals.
o Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any issues or delays.
