We are seeking a skilled Purchase Engineer to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supplier management, ensuring that our purchasing processes are efficient and cost-effective.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
- Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Analyze purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders for materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure material specifications are met.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-8 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
