We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Punjabi & Hindi News Writer to create accurate, engaging, and timely news content. The candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing news stories in both Punjabi and Hindi, ensuring high editorial standards and audience relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit news articles in Punjabi and Hindi
- Cover breaking news, current affairs, and trending topics
- Translate news content between Punjabi, Hindi, and English (if required)
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and factual correctness in all content
- Follow editorial guidelines, tone, and style standards
- Conduct interviews and gather information from credible sources
- Collaborate with editors, reporters, and digital teams
- Optimize content for digital platforms and SEO
- Write headlines, captions, and summaries for web and social media
- Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field
- Proven 1 yrs experience in news writing or journalism (Punjabi & Hindi)
- Strong command over Punjabi and Hindi (written and spoken)
- Basic understanding of English (preferred)
