Job Description: Public Relations Officer (PRO)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly proactive and people-focused Public Relations Officer (PRO) to represent our hospital, manage patient relations, build community connections, and support OPD/IPD growth. Prior experience as a Hospital PRO or Medical Representative is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Relations & Experience - Assist patients and attendants with empathy and clarity. - Guide patients regarding doctors, departments, and procedures. - Resolve queries and manage feedback professionally. - Ensure smooth coordination between patients and doctors.
  • OPD / IPD Growth & Lead Conversion - Convert inquiries (calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins) into visits. - Follow up on planned surgeries, special OPDs, and pending cases. - Achieve daily OPD/IPD targets through active engagement.
  • Community Engagement & Referral Network - Build relations with local clinics, chemists, Panchayat members, NGOs, schools, colleges, ASHA & Anganwadi workers. - Promote hospital services in nearby areas.
  • Internal Coordination - Communicate daily OPD schedules and updates across departments. - Coordinate with nursing, billing, lab, pharmacy, and consultants. - Support management during camps, events, and promotions.
  • Reporting & Follow-Ups - Maintain daily reports: OPD, IPD, surgeries, referrals, follow-ups. - Share daily and weekly summaries with management.
  • Brand & Reputation Management - Ensure a respectful, seamless patient experience. - Handle concerns and complaints politely. - Maintain the hospital's positive image in the region.

Candidate Requirements Mandatory Prerequisite - Must have prior experience as a Hospital PRO or Medical Representative (MR). Education Graduation in any discipline. Diploma in Hospital Administration is preferred but not mandatory. Work Schedule 6 days a week. Flexibility for special OPDs and events.

Skills & Qualities - Strong communication & interpersonal skills. - Relationship-building ability. - Comfortable with fieldwork and community outreach. - Calm, polite, patient-friendly personality. - Basic understanding of hospital operations.
