Role Overview
We are seeking a Public Relations Manager/ Assistant Manager to lead strategic communications, media outreach, and content development for key clients, with a strong emphasis on storytelling and reputation building. The role requires deep media relationships, strong writing skills, and the ability to convert business priorities into compelling narratives.
You will work across accounts especially in renewable energy, infrastructure, sustainability, and corporate sectors helping clients build credibility, visibility, and trust.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & PR Planning
- Develop PR and communication strategies aligned to client business goals
- Create messaging frameworks, media positioning, and narrative strategies
- Provide counsel to clients on communication issues & opportunities
2. Media Outreach & Relationship Building
- Build strong relationships with national, regional, and trade journalists
- Pitch compelling story ideas, interviews, and features
- Manage media interactions, briefings, and follow-ups
- Maintain updated media lists & engagement trackers
3. Content Development
- Draft high-impact communication material including:
- press releases
- articles & op-eds
- speeches
- media pitches
- company profiles
- briefing documents
- Simplify complex industry topics into clear, engaging narratives
4. Campaign Execution & Coordination
- Plan and execute PR campaigns, announcements, launches, and media activations
- Work closely with internal account teams and client stakeholders
- Ensure timely delivery and quality control across all outputs
5. Issues & Reputation Management
- Support proactive and reactive communication during sensitive situations
- Monitor media environment and recommend appropriate responses
6. Client Servicing
- Serve as day-to-day PR lead for assigned accounts
- Present plans, reports, and insights to clients
- Maintain strong client relationships and satisfaction
7. Industry Awareness
- Track sector and communication trends
- Identify fresh story angles and visibility opportunities

Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 4-5 years PR experience agency experience preferred
