Prototype Engineer

The Role:
Reviewing prototype orders based on the Prototype Management System. Support of all
local prototype activities to determine the most efficient manufacturing route. Supporting RFT manufacture of prototypes.
Key responsibilities include:
includes reviewing prototype requests (internal and external) in conjunction with the prototype.

Deliver required outcomes by coordinating the activities of subcontractors and suppliers and
acting as a primary point of contact for them.
Who you'll be:
To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience in machining and assembly processes in the automotive industry or a related environment. Experience working with Siemens and Fanuc-based CNC machines would be an advantage.
Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required
Essential Skills
Able to accurately interpret engineering drawings, bill of materials, and execute instructions.
Creatively solve technical challenges with independent actions as appropriate.
Manufacturing Engineering skill
Manage project timelines, track progress, and ensure milestones are achieved on
schedule.
Collaborate with other departments to maintain consistency and meet quality standards
Standards
Identify shortcomings in existing manufacturing processes, systems, and procedures.
develop methods and processes to address them
Good computer application software knowledge.
Tool Skills
Good PC based computer skills MS Windows, Word, Excel, etc.
Programming / Edit -Fanuc /Siemens CNC machines
Auto cad / Creo
Desirable
Experience required in Machining & assembly process.
Machine process knowledge (CNC Lathe,VMC, Spline rolling, Heat treatment, Angular Grinding, Milling machine )
6+ years (combined) experience in product design and manufacturing process.

multiple tasks, interact and coordinate workflow with internal support personnel.
Language Skills
Must be fluent in English
