Job Description Proposal Content Writer

Location: Mumbai (Work from Office)

Shift: 7:00 PM 4:30 AM (Pick-up & Drop provided | Fixed night shift US Government client exposure)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: Minimum 6 months

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Content Writer to support proposal development for government and public sector clients. This role involves understanding RFPs/RFQs, coordinating with internal teams, and writing clear, accurate, and compliant proposal content. Candidates with exposure to SLED (State, Local, and Education) or international government proposals will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Read and understand RFPs, RFQs, and TOR documents

Identify scope, compliance requirements, and evaluation criteria

Prepare proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and timelines

Coordinate with SMEs, delivery teams, and proposal managers to gather inputs

Write and edit proposal sections including:

  • Technical approach
  • Past performance
  • Staffing plans
  • Executive summaries

Ensure proposals follow client-specific guidelines and submission rules

Participate in internal reviews and incorporate feedback

Maintain and update proposal content for future use

Handle multiple proposals under tight deadlines

Required Skills

Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills

Experience in proposal or technical content writing (minimum 6 months)

Understanding of government or public sector proposal processes

Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF tools

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, IT, or a related field

Experience with public sector or government proposals

Exposure to agencies such as:

FL DMS | TX DIR | JCC | MNSITE | MD CATS+ | MHBE | NY OGS | NYC DoITT | Canadian Government Agencies

Preferred Skills

Experience with state procurement portals (eMaryland, Ariba, BidNet, Bonfire, PlanetBids, etc.)

Familiarity with proposal tools like Qvidian

Exposure to IT services, healthcare, education, or infrastructure proposals

Work Environment

Office-based role as per business requirements
