Proofreader Job details

We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Proofreader to join our content/publishing team. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing written material to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency before final publication. This role is ideal for who have a strong command of the English language and an eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

• Proofread and review manuscripts, books, articles, and digital files
• Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors
• Ensure consistency in language, style, fonts, and layout as per guidelines
• Cross-check content against source files to ensure accuracy
• Mark corrections clearly using track changes or proofreading symbols
• Coordinate with editors, designers, and content teams to resolve queries
• Meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
• Good reading comprehension and attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, Google Docs, or similar tools
• Ability to follow style guides and instructions carefully
• Willingness to learn and accept feedback
• Basic understanding of publishing or content workflows
