As part of our continued growth in project business, we are looking for a Project Proposal Engineer to support our key accounts and project activities.

Role Overview

At VEGA, the Project Proposal Engineer will work in close liaison with the Sales team and internal stakeholders to support project opportunities from the inquiry stage through order handover. The position will initially be work-from-home, with a future transition to office-based work in Pune.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in close coordination with the Sales team on project-related opportunities.

• Review customer specifications, datasheets, and project requirements for level, pressure, and nucleonic instruments.

• Ensure technical compliance of VEGA products with customer and project specifications.

• Identify, document, and justify technical deviations where applicable.

• Prepare technical and commercial bids, including scope of supply and supporting documentation.

• Participate in Technical Query (TQ) meetings, clarifications, and discussions with customers, consultants, and EPCs.

• Support technical and commercial negotiations in coordination with Sales and key account teams.

• Liaise closely with the field Sales team for project updates and customer coordination.

• Coordinate with internal teams, including Product Management, Order Processing, Service, Production, and Supply Chain, as required for proposal preparation.

• Upon order receipt, ensure smooth transfer of project details to the execution team, including all technical and commercial clarifications.

• Maintain proposal records, bid documentation, and version control in line with VEGA processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, or a related discipline).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal engineering, pre-sales, or project support for instrumentation or process industry products.

• Strong understanding of level and pressure measurement technologies or field instruments in general is preferred.

• Experience working with EPCs, consultants, and end users in project environments.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical understanding of datasheets, specifications, and project documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple project proposals simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote setup while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Work Arrangement

• Work from home initially.

• Must be ready to transition to office-based work in Pune/Delhi as per business requirements.
