Scrum Master Job Description

Role Overview
We are looking for a Scrum Master who will act as a servant leader for our agile teams. The role focuses on enabling teams to deliver high-quality digital products by following Scrum principles, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have exposure to AI-driven products and new-age technologies, along with a solid understanding of both backend and frontend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Coach team members on Agile and Scrum best practices
- Remove impediments that impact delivery and sprint commitments
- Partner closely with Product Owners to maintain a well-groomed and prioritized backlog
- Enable transparency through Agile metrics such as velocity, sprint burn-downs, and delivery reports
- Protect the team from scope creep and unnecessary disruptions
- Support teams working on AI-powered features and modern technology stacks
- Encourage collaboration across engineering, design, data, and product teams
- Drive continuous improvement at both team and organizational levels
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in agile product teams
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile, and Lean frameworks
- Experience working with AI-based products or new-age technologies such as machine learning, data platforms, or cloud-native systems
- Good working understanding of backend architectures, APIs, databases, and microservices
- Strong familiarity with frontend technologies and modern UI frameworks
- Ability to effectively communicate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I, or equivalent
- Experience in consumer tech, media, or mobile app ecosystems
- Prior experience working in fast-paced, scaling product environments
