General Information
Position required is for a Senior Project Manager Engine Management System to lead and deliver ongoing development and series projects in BU ENC (Engine Controls) in coordination with manufacturing and engineering teams. We are looking for candidate with strong background in resource planning, project management, customer engagement and a thorough understanding of technical standards and legislative norms. This role demands a proactive and self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leads the complete EMS Project (incl. sub- projects Software, Hardware, System and calibration) and drives the project management activities according to the PM processes and related methods to achieve the project objectives as defined in the Project Agreement
- Work together with Customer, Engineering team (Technical project leads), Sales, Purchase, Plant and quality to deliver project in accordance with customer technical, timeline and quality requirements adhering to Schaeffler internal process requirements
- Plan, Monitor and control Project timeline to ensure that intermediate and final production deadlines are met and take corrective action / escalation in case of roadblocks
- Ensure quality metrics are met and take corrective action in case of deviation during development and postproduction
- Request, monitor and control project budget and resources and ensure product profitability within the target
- Serve as the main customer contact. Coordinate and ensure fulfilment of customer requirements
- Lead the project gate reviews and manage the end-to-end project life cycle.
- Monitor and report project progress and prepare monthly project report for management reviews.
- Ensure open communication with internal departments and industrial engineering members to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Balance competing project priorities within budget constraints and delivery timelines
- Serve as a backup for team members when needed, ensuring continuity of operations for new application projects.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Mechanical engineering
- 10-15 years of overall experience with at least 3 - 5 years in project management
- Experience in Engine Management System projects with local customer
- In-depth understanding of Gate processes / Product development life cycle
- Experience working in multicultural / multisite teams.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects in parallel
- Extensive experience in project planning & execution, internal stakeholder, customer management and cross-functional leadership.
- Project risk management and change management experience
- PMP will be added advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project tool
- Basics in project financials, ROI analysis (NPV, IRR, Payback period).
- Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
