Role Overview
As a Project Manager / Proposal & Coordination Lead, you will take ownership of the front-end project lifecycle, including client inquiries, quotation preparation, proposal development, and coordination with internal teams and external consultants.
This full-time position is intended for professionals with experience in project coordination, proposal management, or engineering consulting environments. The role plays a critical function in ensuring projects are clearly defined, competitively priced, and effectively transitioned into execution. You will work at the intersection of sales, engineering, and operations, supporting both building permit and infrastructure projects, while contributing to business growth and project delivery success.
Key Responsibilities
Quotation & Proposal Management:
- Prepare and issue quotations for building permit and private sector projects; develop clear scopes of work, assumptions, and pricing structures; coordinate with internal disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, civil); lead proposal preparation for building and infrastructure projects; manage revisions, addendums, and client feedback.
Client Communication & CRM Coordination:
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients during the proposal stage; coordinate with marketing and CRM teams to track leads and opportunities; follow up on proposals to support conversion into awarded projects; maintain organized records of communications and submissions.
Subconsultant & Procurement Coordination:
- Identify, engage, and coordinate with subcontractors and consultants; request, review, and level pricing from vendors; support procurement efforts for ongoing projects; build and maintain a reliable network of consultants and suppliers.
Project Coordination & Delivery Support:
- Support project managers and engineering teams during project execution; assist with scheduling, tracking deliverables, and internal coordination; ensure smooth transition from proposal to project kickoff; manage smaller projects independently when required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in proposal preparation, estimation, project coordination, or project management within an engineering consulting or construction environment.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating across technical and commercial functions.
- Proficiency in Excel, CRM systems, and project tracking tools.
- Strong understanding of permit drawings, including architectural and structural components.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with infrastructure proposals, including public sector RFQs/RFPs.
- Familiarity with procurement workflows and subcontractor coordination.
- Strong understanding of project costing, scope development, and pricing strategies.
