The ideal candidate has successfully delivered complex IT projects using Agile methodologies in a fast-paced environment for enterprise clients. The candidate will have a proven track record in a leading IT services company, demonstrating exceptional stakeholder management, proactive risk mitigation, and the ability to prevent scope creep while keeping engineering teams motivated and high-performing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery from discovery and estimation through execution, testing, and deployment.
- Structure and maintain detailed project plans, sprint schedules, and release roadmaps that align with contractual milestone dates.
- Orchestrate standard Agile ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
- Act as the primary gatekeeper for project scope; meticulously analyze business requirements against the initial Statement of Work (SOW) or contract.
- Establish and enforce a rigorous Change Management Process.
- Track project financial health, monitoring Gross Margin (GM), resource utilization, and cost variance to ensure delivery stays within budgeted constraints.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, managing expectations regarding delivery timelines, constraints, and dependencies.
- Provide transparent, data-driven status reporting (burn-up/burn-down charts, velocity trends, milestone tracking, and financial health) to both client and internal leadership.
- Manage cross-functional delivery teams (Developers, QA, Architects, and Scrum Masters), fostering a collaborative, high-performance Agile culture.
- Optimize resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure maximum productivity without compromising project quality or burning out the team.
- Drive project financials revenue recognition, margin management, cost optimization, and profitability in Fixed Price models.
- Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and support pre-sales activities (effort estimation, proposal review, SOW preparation).
Mandatory Skills:
- 1215 years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 35 years of direct Project Management experience managing end-to-end delivery within an IT services/consulting firm.
- Demonstrated success managing Fixed-Price (FP) and T&M models. Must understand how to balance fixed timelines/budgets with shifting client requirements.
- Deep practical knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and the traditional Waterfall model (often required for upfront FP estimation and milestone planning).
- Hands-on proficiency with Project Management and Agile tooling, specifically Jira, ADO, and MS Project.
- Strong grasp of project metrics including Velocity, Say-Do Ratio, Defect Density, Resource Utilization, and Cost Variance ($CV$).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in managing large-scale enterprise IT projects.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, Agile, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic environment.
