As a key member of our Product Development organization, you will lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver new product development projects from concept through production launch. You'll ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
In this role, you'll collaborate with Product Management, Hardware, Firmware, Software Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Technical Publications, and Marketing to bring innovative industrial IoT solutions to market. You'll play a critical role in driving accountability, managing risk, maintaining alignment across stakeholders, and continuously improving our product development processes and tools.

This role is based out of our Hyderabad, India office. We operate in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of three ( 3) + days per week onsite , with the option to work remotely for up to two (2) days per week.
What You'll Do
Project Leadership & Execution
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned product development projects.
- Lead multiple concurrent projects while meeting cost, quality, and deliveryobjectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, tasks, durations, dependencies, milestones, deliverables, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Create andmaintaindetailed project schedules with defined activities, milestones, key deliverables, and resource allocations.
- Track execution to ensure adherence to approved scope, schedule, and budget.
- Assess changes in development scope anddetermineimpact to timeline, cost, and resources.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Product Management and cross-functional teams to ensure clear, robust requirements and design specifications.
- Facilitate status meetings, technical reviews, and formal gate reviews with key stakeholders.
- Maintain action logs, risk registers, and project documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and change approvals to stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage requirements, specifications, and contracts with external partners and collaborators.
Risk & Process Management
- Lead cross-functional risk identification, mitigation planning, and execution.
- Monitor development activities across internal teams and external organizations to ensuretimelydelivery.
- Ensure engineering documentation (functional specifications, design documents, etc.) is generated andmaintained.
- Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ORBCOMM's product development processes, tools, techniques, and related documentation.
- Provide guidance and training to ensure team members understand and adhere to project management standards and requirements.
Who You Are
You're a Strategic Thinker With a Knack For Operational Excellence, Ready To Tackle Multiple Priorities With Agility And Confidence. If You Have
- A college diploma or university degree in a Technical or Engineering discipline, with coursework or certification in project management.
- 3+ years of product development project management experience, including leadership of cross-functional and remote teams.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with varying scope and team size.
- Strong knowledge of project management processes, workflows, and terminology.
- Proficiencywith project management tools and methodologies.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project; familiarity with SharePoint and Office 365 tools.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
- A results-oriented mindset witha strong senseof ownership and accountability.
- Willingness to travel occasionally asrequired.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to support daily tasks and productivity.
