What You'll Do
We are seeking a Project Manager based in Chennai, India, to lead the seamless execution of customer orders and projects. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Order & Project Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer order execution and delivery.
- Define project scope, timelines, and milestones; manage scope changes and variation orders.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate delays and cost overruns.
- Monitor project financials, quality, technical performance, and delivery metrics.
Internal Order Management
- Process and validate internal sales orders in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Coordinate with Finance for invoicing and payment follow-ups.
- Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders on order status.
Intercompany Coordination
- Manage intercompany purchase orders and transfers between global entities.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, tax regulations, and documentation standards.
- Track shipments and resolve discrepancies in billing and inventory movements.
Logistics & Execution
- Plan and execute shipping schedules aligned with customer requirements.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and warehouse teams for timely dispatch.
- Optimize logistics costs while ensuring compliance with import/export regulations.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
- Lead weekly reviews to define action plans for achieving monthly targets.
- Maintain accurate project status updates in PMCALC and other tools.
- Share best practices through benchmarking and drive Eaton Business System (EBS) initiatives.
- Foster positive employee relations and promote Eaton's philosophy of inclusion and engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, order management, and logistics coordination.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with international trade compliance and intercompany processes.
