Education:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (Mandatory)
Experience
1825+ years in civil construction for Oil & Gas plant projects
Job roles & responsibilities:
- Earthworks, site grading and development
- Piling, foundations (RCC & equipment foundations)
- Pipe racks, buildings, control rooms and substations
- Roads, drains, culverts and underground networks
- Ensure construction is carried out as per approved IFC drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Overall responsibility for civil & structural engineering deliverables under EPC scope.
- Ensure designs are aligned with site constraints, construction sequencing, and logistics.
- Develop detailed civil construction schedules in line with overall EPC baseline.
- Monitor daily, weekly and monthly progress and productivity.
- Identify delays and implement recovery plans.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material deployment.
- Manage civil subcontractors including piling, earthwork and concrete agencies.
- Monitor subcontractor productivity, quality, and compliance.
- Ensure implementation of QA/QC plans at site.
- Enforce strict adherence to project HSE requirements.
- Monitor quantities executed vs BOQ.
- Control wastage of concrete, steel and earthwork.
- Support site measurement, billing, and variation assessment.
- Report cost and quantity deviations to project management.
- Interface & Client Coordination
- Lead site civil construction teams across multiple work fronts.
- Mentor construction managers, site engineers and supervisors.
