Role Overview
We areseeking an experienced and highly motivatedProject Managerto lead and deliver high-quality construction projects. In this role, you will take full ownership of project planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout; ensuring projects are deliveredsafely, on time, within budget, and to Client quality standards.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders while fostering a culture ofaccountability, transparency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Objectives of the Role
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects, from initiation through closeout, in alignment withClientcommitment to excellence and client satisfaction.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders while ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational goals.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure cost efficiency and timely project delivery.
- Maintain strong working relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution and adherence to specifications.
- Uphold Nestcon'ssafety-first cultureby ensuring compliance with all safety standards, regulatory requirements, and local building codes.
- Promote sustainable construction practices and support green building initiatives where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk mitigation strategies, and procurement plans.
- Coordinate and oversee all construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved schedules, drawings, and specifications.
- Lead procurement processes, including bid evaluation, contractor and vendor selection, contract negotiations, and change order management.
- Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and provide accurate and timely status reports to stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality, safety, progress, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Manage project budgets, cost control measures, and financial reporting to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Ensure all project documentationincluding contracts, permits, drawings, and approvalsis properly managed and maintained.
- Facilitate regular project meetings to address challenges, align teams, and drive collaborative problem-solving.
- Identify risks proactively and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize project disruptions.
- Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and guidance to project teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment aligned withClientvalues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Construction Management) or a related discipline from a reputed institution like NICMAR (Desirable.
- Minimum12+ years of experiencein project management, with proven successfully handling and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations within the Indian construction landscape.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to train on-site staff to better their proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools, and cost estimation systems.
- Awareness of sustainable construction practices and green building standards.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Professional certifications such asPMP, LEED, or equivalent.
- Experience managing large-scale or complex construction projects.
- Strong understanding of risk management, contract administration, and claims management.
- Proficiency inBuilding Information Modelling (BIM) & ERPtools.
- Knowledge of lean construction principles and modern project delivery methodologies.
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting and cost control.
