Position Overview:
We are seeking an execution-focused Project Manager with significant experience in hospital construction to lead the delivery of a high-performance healthcare facility near Patna, Bihar. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in healthcare project execution, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale hospital projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Execution Leadership
- Take full ownership of hospital project execution, driving timely completion of all milestones within cost and quality parameters.
- Direct and coordinate on-site activities to ensure compliance with plans, drawings, specifications, and healthcare construction best practices.
- Anticipate risks and proactively implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted project progress.
Technical and Operational Oversight
- Oversee the installation and integration of medical-grade infrastructure, including MEP, HVAC, medical gases, modular OTs, and other hospital-critical systems.
- Provide technical direction to contractors, consultants, and on-site teams, ensuring precision in execution and alignment with healthcare standards (NABH, NBC, and applicable Indian codes).
Resource and Budget Management
- Manage project resourceslabor, materials, equipmentefficiently to optimize cost without compromising quality.
- Monitor budgets and financial reports, ensuring accountability and cost control across all phases.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure strict adherence to Indian building codes, hospital-specific regulations, and environmental norms.
- Enforce rigorous safety protocols and maintain a zero-incident culture at site.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison for clients, consultants, vendors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring transparent communication and alignment.
- Coordinate with architects, healthcare planners, and contractors to address design-build challenges in real time.
Quality Control and Commissioning
- Implement robust quality assurance systems to meet the high standards required for hospital facilities.
- Lead final commissioning, ensuring all systemsfrom OT equipment to HVAC to patient safety systemsare fully operational before handover.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Indian or international university.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in hospital construction.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale healthcare projects within time and budget.
- Strong knowledge of hospital infrastructure systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety, medical gas, and modular OT standards).
- Deep understanding of Indian construction regulations, safety standards, and healthcare accreditation requirements (NABH preferred).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities under high-pressure conditions.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
