Role Purpose:

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing fire protection system projects while ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable fire safety standards and project specifications.

The role requires strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills to manage internal teams, vendors, and clients effectively while ensuring optimal manpower utilization and seamless project execution through technology-driven project management tools.

Qualification & Experience:

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering (preferred).

Experience

58 years of experience in project execution.

Experience in Fire Protection, MEP, or Building Services projects preferred.

Salary:65,000 (In-hand) + 25,000 Performance-Based Incentive per month.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

Plan, schedule, and execute fire protection system installation projects including sprinklers, hydrants, pump rooms, detection systems, and suppression systems.

Prepare project timelines, resource plans, and execution strategies to ensure timely completion.

Review drawings, BOQs, and project specifications before execution.

Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams for smooth project progress.

Material Planning and Management

Plan and forecast material requirements based on BOQ, drawings, and project timelines.

Coordinate with the procurement and stores team to ensure timely availability of project materials.

Monitor material consumption at site and ensure it aligns with planned quantities.

Maintain proper material tracking records including inward, outward, and usage logs.

Prevent material wastage, misuse, or pilferage at project sites.

Coordinate with site teams for proper storage and handling of fire protection equipment and materials.

Track long-lead items to prevent project delays.

Ensure proper material reconciliation at project completion.

Budget & Cost Control

Ensure project execution within approved budgets.

Track material consumption, labour costs, and project expenses.

Identify cost overruns early and take corrective actions.

Ensure optimal utilization of resources to maintain project profitability.

Manpower Planning & Coordination

Plan deployment and rotation of manpower across project sites.

Ensure productivity and efficient workforce allocation.

Coordinate with subcontractors, technicians, and site engineers.

Monitor site discipline, safety, and work quality.

Project Profitability Management

Monitor the financial health and profitability of assigned projects.

Track project costs against approved budgets including materials, labour, subcontracting, and logistics.

Identify areas where cost optimization can improve project margins without compromising quality.

Ensure proper control of variations, scope changes, and additional works.

Coordinate with management to approve and price variation orders where applicable.

Maintain cost visibility throughout project execution to prevent margin erosion.

Support finance and management with project cost reports and profitability analysis.

Project Monitoring & Reporting

Track project progress against planned timelines and milestones.

Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports.

Identify risks, bottlenecks, and delays and implement corrective actions.

Maintain proper documentation of project activities.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.

Coordinate with consultants, architects, and contractors.

Provide project updates and address client concerns promptly.

Ensure client satisfaction and smooth project handover.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure installation work adheres to relevant fire safety standards and project specifications.

Maintain high standards of workmanship and system reliability.

Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.

Ensure proper documentation for project closure.

Technology & Systems Adoption

Effectively use project management software (PowerPlay) for assigning and tracking tasks, timelines, and resources.

Maintain updated project data within internal systems.

Ensure team members adopt and utilize the organization's digital project management tools (Powerplay)

Support management with data-driven project insights.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

Knowledge of Fire Protection Systems such as Hydrant, Sprinkler, Pump Rooms, Fire Detection Systems.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and BOQs.

Understanding of fire safety standards and installation practices.

Core Competencies

Strong organizational and planning skills.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to manage multiple project sites simultaneously.

High attention to detail and quality control.

Technology Skills

Comfortable using Project Management Software and digital tools.
