Job Description

Job Title : PMO

Department : SQA

Exp : 5+ years

Reports To : CEO/CTO

Location : Chennai

Notice Period : Immediate joiners to 15 Days

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Responsible for contributing to achievement of strategic objectives through effective utilization and driving the organizational resources towards completion of assigned projects on time within budget and within scope. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Establish a project governance framework to have a structured approach to govern and manage the projects.

Define the stakeholders in the project governance and set well-defined roles, responsibilities, and decision-making capacities.

Evaluates and identifies best practices in the specific industry and implements them by defining project management standards, process and guidelines for the company

Help the management in selecting and prioritizing the projects aligned to the strategic and tactical business objectives of the company

Help the management in forecasting resource management, timelines and cost of the project to determine the commercials, margin and profitability.

Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

Develop a detailed project plan with milestones and performance KPIs for the project to monitor and track progress

Perform risk assessment and ensure resource availability and allocation after discussion with relevant stakeholders based on the required competencies.

Set deadlines, assign responsibilities for all stakeholders involved in the project for monitoring

Coordinate with internal resources and third parties/vendors/OEM for the flawless execution of projects

Align remote teams and bring everyone on the same page, acts as communication bridge between all stakeholder to act in same direction.

Track, monitor the progress of project from time to time and measure project performance against set milestones and KPIs such as time, cost and quality.

Develop comprehensive project status to be shared with clients, management as well as other staff members for project review from time to time.

Perform random or scheduled audits of work quality done by the OEM or vendors or received materials from the supplier to ensure the quality

Report and escalate to management as needed for timely intervention

Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation for future reference

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering is preferred

Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management from IT/Non IT industry, preferably from mechanical design and product development company TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC

Proven working experience in project management

Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
