Role Purpose
The Project Lead QA/QC will be responsible for leading and managing the complete quality control and quality management system (QMS) functions across multiple residential Mivan and conventional projects. The role includes strategic QC planning, team deployment, auditing, reporting, client coordination, and ensuring strict adherence to IS codes, quality standards, and project specifications. The position demands strong QMS auditing expertise along with hands-on experience in site-level civil QC operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and allocate QA/QC activities across multiple projects, ensuring smooth coordination and effective execution.
- Monitor day-to-day civil inspections including shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
- Ensure compliance with IS codes, project specifications, ITP/MTP requirements, and quality procedures.
- Review, verify, and consolidate QC reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for internal use and client submission.
- Plan and manage manpower schedules and identify technical support needs for ongoing projects.
- Represent the QA/QC team in client kick-off meetings, technical discussions, and progress reviews.
- Identify quality lapses, raise NCRs, and drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
- Conduct internal quality audits, ensure QMS compliance, and support external audit processes.
- Mentor, train, and develop QC engineers to enhance technical and operational capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards, QMS protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client coordination, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of quality issues.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong background in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and auditing with hands-on experience in ISO/QMS compliance.
- Strong technical expertise in Mivan formwork and conventional residential construction.
- Proven expertise in client coordination and team handling, with the ability to lead multi-site operations.
- Must have handled QA/QC operations for civil projects across high-rise residential developments.
- Excellent knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITP/MTP, documentation, and NCR handling.
- Strong leadership, analytical, reporting, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain quality standards while managing tight project timelines.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in QA/QC for high-rise residential projects (Mivan & conventional).
- Prior third-party inspection experience is an added advantage.
- QMS/ISO auditor certification is preferred (if applicable).
