We are seeking an experienced electrical project lead to oversee the electrical systems design and implementation for a large-scale data center project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and data center infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical design and engineering efforts for the data center project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, structural, and IT professionals, to develop integrated solutions.
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of power distribution systems, including medium- and low-voltage equipment.
- Manage the design and installation of backup power systems, including UPS and generators.
- Coordinate with utility companies for power requirements and connections.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Supervise and mentor junior electrical engineers and technicians.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor installation progress and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during construction and commissioning.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate project status and technical details.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years specifically in data center projects.
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale electrical projects.
- In-depth knowledge of data center power systems, including 2N and N+1 redundancy configurations.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA).
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency practices and sustainable design principles.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
