- Responsibilities:
- Leading digital transformation projects within the organization, focusing on industrial automation and control systems.
- Design and develop applications using Ignition Vision and Perspective modules.
- Create intuitive HMIs, dashboards, and reporting solutions for plant operations.
- Develop reusable components, templates, scripts and functions for scalable deployment.
- Configure alarms, trends, and historian modules.
- Interface with PLCs and industrial devices using OPC UA.
- Work with protocols like Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet etc.
- Ensure seamless data flow from shop floor to IT systems.
- Develop and optimize queries in MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Design database schemas for MES/SCADA applications.
- Perform data modeling, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Integrate Ignition with enterprise systems (ERP/business applications/third-party systems).
- Troubleshoot applications, databases, and connectivity issues.
- Ensure high system availability and performance.
- Perform upgrades and version control along with regional team.
- Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
- Proficient in industrial communication protocols such as OPC-UA, MQTT, and Modbus.
- Familiarity with MES platforms and their integration with ERP systems.
- Strong background in data analytics and the use of related tools and techniques.
- Experience working with Ignition software for SCADA and industrial applications.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
- Solid understanding of database management, including MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
