The Project Engineer II (Process Advisor) will implement projects and assist in onsite user testing as necessary. The candidate should have a very strong career interest in Process Simulation.
Your role will also include overseeing, supervising and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end‑to‑end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and directions to team members on tasks to be performed; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success
Responsibilities
Position Overview:
As an Implementation Engineer (IE) for the Process Advisor program, your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating customer technical documents and requirements, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Flowmeter Datasheets, Monitoring sheet & Mass Balance Loop.
- Utilizing available tools and templates (based on MS Azure) to configure unit-specific solutions.
- Creating and modifying steady-state process models and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) calculations.
- Adhering to established quality work processes and contributing to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborating with Technical Services for customer releases.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting Digital Twin applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Involved in process modeling and simulation, case study and technical troubleshooting, and customer value addition for several customers across the globe in the UOP licensed Refinery Process Technologies.
- Perform QA/QC actions as per Technical Specialist/Customer input.
- Implement Process Monitor, Process digital-twin, and other advisory applications
- Create/modify steady-state process models/calculations in Unisim-Design.
- Software Installation
- Configuration of Screens/Reports in Customer Portal Tool
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational Background: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Chemical, Petroleum, or Petrochemical Engineering.
- Work Experience: 5 to 9 years of relevant experience in Refinery or Petrochemical Operations or Technical Services.
Key Skills
- Strong process/operation knowledge in refinery units (essential).
- Proficiency in simulation software such as Unisim, HySys, or DWSIM.
- Experience in customer and stakeholder engagement.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with plant historian systems.
- Good communication skills (with global stakeholders)
