Role Overview And Responsibilities For a Development-Focused Project Engineer

Position: Project Engineer II

The Project Engineer II is an integral member of our engineering team, responsible for bridging technical development and project management. With at least two years of development experience and a proven track record of managing scrum teams, this role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about delivering innovative solutions and driving project success through agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Development: Apply development knowledge to support project objectives, participate in hands-on coding, debugging, and technical problem-solving.
  • Scrum Team Management: Lead and coordinate scrum teams, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and ensuring effective communication among team members.
  • Sprint Planning: Plan, organize, and prioritize sprint tasks in collaboration with product owners and stakeholders, setting achievable goals and timelines for each sprint cycle.
  • Project Coordination: Track progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, providing updates and gathering feedback to refine project deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements through rigorous testing and review processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote agile best practices and encourage a culture of learning, innovation, and process improvement within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4- 5 years experience in software development and Scrum Master Role
  • Experience managing scrum teams and implementing agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of sprint planning, backlog management, and agile project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in Scrum Master or Agile Project Management.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern development frameworks.

Work Environment

The Project Engineer II will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and Program Manages. The role requires adaptability, initiative, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results through collaboration and agile practices.
