Key Responsibilities:

  1. Detailed Engineering & Optimization: Oversee the preparation and approval of detailed designs, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), array layouts, electrical designs (AC/DC), cable routing, and structural stability reports. Focus on LCoE (Levelized Cost of Energy) optimization.
  2. Standardization & Documentation: Develop and maintain a standardized library of engineering designs, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOMs). Ensure all project documentation is accurate, traceable, and handed over efficiently.
  3. Technology Selection: Evaluate and approve key equipment technologies (PV Modules, Inverters, Mounting Structures, SCADA systems) based on technical performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all engineering deliverables meet local state (e.g., open access policies) and national regulatory requirements and facilitate design approvals from relevant authorities.
  5. Software Proficiency: Maintain expert-level competence and training in industry-standard software such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, and structural analysis tools (e.g., STAAD.Pro).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Performance Ratio (PR) Achievement: Average difference between modeled (PVsyst) and actual operational PR for commissioned plants.
  • Design Change Rate: Reduction in the number of costly design changes requested post-site mobilization.
  • BOM Accuracy: Variance between preliminary and final approved Bill of Materials.
  • Design Turnaround Time: Time taken to approve detailed engineering packages for the Procurement team.
