Your role
Mission :
The mission of the Project Engineer- Upgrades (Motors) is to deliver robust, compliant, and cost-effective motor upgrade and replacement solutions for installed Compressors & other related products. The role ensures seamless execution of customer and field driven engineering requests by owning motor upgrade projects from ene-to-end, from technical investigation through design release, enabling aftermarket solutions and enhanced customer value.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Own & execute motor upgrade, exchange, and replacement projects from initial request through final engineering release, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Investigate and resolve engineering requests related to motor upgrades originating from field service, purchasing, marketing and CTS Teams worldwide, and provide technically sound proposals.
- Design and develo retrofit and upgrades kits for motor replacements, ensuring suitability for field installation instruction and aftermarket supply.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematic drawings, ensuring compliance with internal engineering standards and quality requirements.
- Ensure solutions comply with local and international regulations, adapting motor upgrade design as required for different countries and markets.
- Collaborate closely with cross-function teams and international counterparts to align technical solutions with business and service needs.
Project Ownership and Communication
- Take full ownership of assigned engineering calls and proejcts until closure, maintaining clear documentation and traceability.
- Interact with different stakeholders as and when required and present, explain, and align on proposed motor upgrade solutions.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for standardization, simplification, and innovation within motor upgrade offerings.
To succeed, you will need
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ electrical engineering or a related field
- Master's degree in a related field would be added advantage.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements.
- Approximately 2+ years of relevant engineering experience in mechanical design, upgrades, or aftermarket engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, engineering drawings, and design application principles.
- Working understanding of basic electrical concepts, particularly related to motors and their integration in compressor systems.
- Experience in preparing BOMs, Schematics, and field installation instructions & documents.
- Knolwedge of compressor products and servicing is an added advantage.
- Ability to work indepedently while managing multiple engineering requests in parallel.
