Job Title: Project Engineer - Civil

Job Summary:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the construction of high-rise residential structures with Aluminum formwork (mivan shuttering), with a specific focus on structural elements and interior finishes. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering, with extensive experience in high-rise construction, project coordination, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Structural Engineering and Construction:
A. Project Planning:
- Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets for high-rise residential construction.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
B. Structural Oversight:
- Supervise the construction ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of structural works.
- Identify and resolve any issues related to construction techniques, materials, or workmanship.
Finishes and Interiors:
A. Finishes Coordination:
- Oversee the installation of interior finishes, including flooring, painting, and all MEP fixtures.
- Ensure that all finishes are completed to the highest standards and in accordance with project specifications.
B. Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials.
- Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals.
C. Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure that all finishes meet client expectations and industry standards.
- Address and rectify any defects or deficiencies in the finishes.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and inspection records.
- Prepare and present project updates to Project managers.
Health and Safety:
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to the project and implement mitigation strategies.
- Respond promptly to any safety incidents or emergencies on site.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on high-rise residential construction.
- Proven experience in managing structural works and finishes.
