This Position reports to:

The positions are for the Plant Electrification team of India Operations Center (INOPC). INOPC is a global competence center with large team of skilled engineers who focus on supporting entire life cycle of projects that includes tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation and commissioning. The INOPC team in Bangalore supports ABB units all over the globe.

Indian Operation Centre-Plant Electrification is responsible for supporting the global business lines in proposal engineering, Basic and Detail Engineering, Vendor Engineering, power system analysis and commissioning of electrical products and system. With high competence resources, Know -how of international systems and standards, Plant Electrification unit of INOPC is helping business to deliver solutions to the engineering challenges in most optimum way. This will have direct impact on project deliverables such as cost, quality and timeline of projects of Business lines to enable industrial and energy customers to operate more efficiently and profitably. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business of BA Function Operation Center and quality Division in Bangalore India.

Responsibilities:

• Study of scope of work document from the customer specification.
• Kick off meeting (KOM) with the client to mutually agree on scope of work and deviations.
• Preparing the man hour estimate, technical and commercial offer for the project
• Prepare weekly productivity and progress report
• Co-ordination with client and the consultant.
• Collection and compiling of data for the power system studies.
• Conducting Power system studies such as
  • Load flow study
  • Short circuit study
  • Dynamic Motor starting study
  • Harmonic analysis
  • Transient & load shedding study
  • Relay coordination study with Unit protection
  • Arc flash study
  • Insulation co-ordination study
  • Transformer inrush current study
  • Renewable Energy and Grid Integration Studies

using ETAP/ DIgSILENT/NEPLAN/PSSE / SKM Power /PSCAD/ CYME tools.

• Preparation of study report.
• Harmonic measurement at site

Background /Qualification / Requirements :

• Candidate should have a Master degree in Power system Analysis/ Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience for Engineer/8 to 12 years of relevant experience for Lead Engineer
• Hands on and working knowledge on any one of power systems study software such as ETAP/ NEPLAN/ SKM Power /PS CAD/ CYME tools etc.
• Must have successfully executed at least two power system studies projects for big networks involving 300buses and above independently
• Project execution experience in MV, LV switchgear package and detail engineering would be an added advantage
