Responsibilities:
Responsible for end-to-end execution of industrial solar EPC projects, ensuring timely completion, quality compliance, safety adherence, and coordination with internal teams, vendors, and clients at site.
Project Execution & Site Management
- Execute industrial rooftop and ground-mounted solar EPC projects as per approved drawings, BOQs, and project schedules
- Supervise site activities including structure installation, module mounting, DC/AC cabling, inverter installation, and evacuation systems
- Monitor daily progress and ensure adherence to timelines and milestones
Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and installation contractors for smooth site execution
- Ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower as per project plan
- Verify contractor work quality and certify work completion
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure installation meets technical specifications, IEC standards, and company quality norms
- Conduct quality checks for mechanical structures, electrical terminations, earthing, and testing
- Maintain installation checklists, test reports, and as-built documentation
Safety Management
- Enforce site safety practices as per statutory and company safety guidelines
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure proper use of PPE by site personnel
- Report and manage safety incidents or near misses
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Coordinate testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities
- Assist in synchronization with utility grid and statutory inspections
- Support final project handover including documentation and client sign-off
Coordination & Reporting
- Act as single point of contact at site for client representatives
- Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports and share with Project Manager
- Escalate technical, safety, or schedule issues proactively
Requirement/ Skills:
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems (modules, inverters, structures, DC/AC design basics)
- Knowledge of earthing, lightning protection, and evacuation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and layout drawings
- Familiarity with IEC standards and DISCOM requirements
- Strong execution and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently at project sites
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay at project locations
- Proven experience in managingindependent project sites
Qualification:
- Bachelors/ Masters in Electrical Engineering
- 56 years of hands-on execution experience insolar EPC projects
- Experience inindustrial / commercial rooftop or ground-mounted solar plantspreferred
