Job Summary

If you are an Engineering professional, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Project Engineer to work with our Operations Management Solutions Team. This role will work independently and as a part of a team and will be involved in the configuration of the software model, taking the project to the field for installation and testing at the client's sites, and providing consulting assistance and training upon completion of a project. They will also participate in the technical execution of the work and will be required to participate in presentations to clients. Projects will consist of on-line leak detection and pipeline modeling work.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Implement customized software solutions based on Energy Solutions pipeline modeling software
  • Configure, install, and fine-tune Energy Solutions Pipeline modeling systems
  • Train operators at clients sites in Energy Solutions Software applications and technology
  • Analyze project requirements compared with the capabilities of Energy Solutions Products
  • Provide consulting services and training to clients.
  • Extensive travel required.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering and experience in pipeline design or operations.
  • Fresher or up to two years of experience in pipeline operations, pipeline design, pipeline software, pipeline hydraulics, pipeline modeling, and leak detection systems.
  • Knowledge of software systems applications
  • Strong background in pipeline hydraulics
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, in order to provide stellar customer support.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ and Fortran Programming Languages, a plus.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience with SCADA systems, instrumentation, and process control
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Business knowledge of natural gas marketing and transportation would be a plus
  • Oil & Gas experience.
