We are seeking a highly experienced
Project Director to lead and manage end-to-end execution of large-scale solar EPC projects. The role involves strategic oversight, project delivery, stakeholder management, and ensuring execution excellence across multiple utility-scale solar projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead the execution of utility-scale solar EPC projects from concept to commissioning.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Drive project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strategic & Operational Oversight
- Define project execution strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously across locations.
- Stakeholder Management
- Interface with clients, investors, EPC partners, and government authorities.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders including DISCOMs and regulatory bodies.
- Contract & Commercial Management
- Review and manage EPC contracts, including risk mitigation.
- Ensure adherence to commercial terms, cost control, and profitability.
- Team Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Mentor senior project managers and build high-performing teams.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental norms, and safety standards.
- Drive a strong culture of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) across sites.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil); MBA preferred.
- 25+ years of experience in EPC / infrastructure / renewable energy projects.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale solar projects (50MW+ or higher).
- Strong knowledge of:
- Solar PV systems and EPC lifecycle
- Project management tools and methodologies
- Regulatory frameworks in India
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with leading renewable companies or EPC contractors.
- Exposure to international solar projects is an added advantage.
- Experience handling multi-GW project portfolios.
